LAND BILL IN COMMITTEE. 1 In tlio House of Representatives ycsterIfiy afternoon, a paper kid on the tablo iealing with fishories, caused somo disiussion, This was followed by a disJussion on the amendments made by the Legislative Council in the Publio Service Bill, which was kept going until the 5.30 adjournment. Finally the amendments were accepted ou the voices. The Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Amendment Bill was read a third time without discussion. At 7.35 p.m. the House went into Committee on the Land Laws Amendment Bill, of which twenty clauses had been approved the previous day. The House adjourned at 2.35 a.m.' The Defenco Amendment Bill was coniidered in the Legislative Council ycsterlay afternoon, the Council rising at 5.20
