HOSPITAL BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Wellington Hospital and Charitable Aid Board was held yesterday afternoon. There were present:—Messrs. .(.Trevor (chairman), H. Baldwin, G. Nash, W. Galloway, B. It. Gardener, J. Godber, L. M'Kenzie, J. W. M'Ewan, P. T. Moore, D. Robertson, J. Smith, and the Rev. 11. Van Staveren.
On the recommendation of the Hospital Committee it was decided that the tender ' of Messrs. Ccdcrholni and Tollcy, «C 2,3 lfls., being the. lowest, be accepted for reinstating electric lighting in the laundry. That aii option over tho property adjoining the hospital with a view to purchasing same has been obtained by the chairman. That the tender of Mr. P. S.' Witton be accepted for the supply of milk lo the Hospital and Ohiro'Home for two years, ending October 31, 1911. Tlie Public Health Committee reported that during tho month ended October 10 tlie health inspectors made IS investigations of infectious diseases, ",2 disinfections, 7 whole house disinfections, 8 sanitary insertions. 51 revisits, and 5 visits under Sales of l-'eoil and Drugs Act. Samples have been taken and considerable assistance given tn the I'uhlic Health Depart tiie.nl. Three attendances were made at Hie S.M. Court. The following notifications have been made:—Scarlet fever, 15 eases; diphtheria, It cases; enteric- fever, S ra-*s; tuberculosis, Id cases; blend poisoning. 1 rase.
