DAVIS CUP CONTEST.
ENGLISH TEAM ARRIVE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. October 23, 1.5 a.m.) Melbourne, October 22. Dixon, Beamish, Parke, and Lowe, England's lawn tennis team for the Davis Cup contest, have arrived, and have been entertained at an official reception. Mr. Woigall, president of the Victorian Lawn Tennis Association, presided. Mr. Fisher, the Prime Minister, proposed tho health of the visitors, and a number of speeches cordially welcoming the team were delivered, including one by Mr. G. Olliver, of New Zealand.
