MILITARY PENSIONS BILL.
MEETING OF WANGANUI VETERANS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Wanganui, October 20. • A largo meeting of Wanganui veteran* was hold on Saturday, when the Military Pensions Bill was disclosed. Tho general v opinion was that the 33111 is very much ahead of last year's, but the Minister is to bo approached with a view to induing tho pensions universal, despite income, it being considered that those who have been frugal ov are now more robust and able to work should not bo debarred. Hie provision regarding renewal every year was also taken exception to. A suggestion was made that the widows of veterans should receive pensions. It was not thought right that when a veteran died his pension, which was the solo support of tho house, should be cut oft,
