FORWARD THE FEATHERS. < A preliminary announcement appears in this issue ot a spc-cial feather-weight tournament which is being promoted by the Wellington Association at the Town Hall on Saturday and Monday next. At tho present time there are close on a dozen first-class -exponents .in the ninfe stone class, and the intention of the association is to select about six of these and match them over eight to ten .rounds, thus reducing the number to two, who will contest the final on the second night. Among those who will bo seen, in action nr& Ellis, Thompson, Goodman (Otago), Pengetly (Christchurch), Crawford (Gisborne). This alone appears to be sufficient material to provide two excellent evenings' sport. A number of amateur preliminaries will bo arranged if time permits.
