-Mesrs.' Dalgety' nnd Co. report:—Wo held our fortnightly sale yesterday afternoon, when-we offered a few baps of wool, and the usual quantities of skins, hides, and tallow. There was a good attendance of buyers, and- competition was keen for : all linc3 .submitted. Prices for all Rood sound lots were firm at late rates. Wool {oddments only): Crutchings, 53d.« to 61d.; crosbred, 73d.; dead, 9d.; washed pieces, 7Ad. Sheepskins: Crossbred, medium, 72d. to BJd.; half-wools, 7d. to 73d.; quarterwools, 6d. to 6Jd.; crossbred, short and inferior, 4d. to 62d.; crossbred, dead, 63d. to 7d.; hoggets, dead, 63d.; pelts, 3id.; crossbred, damp, 7s. 7d. to Bs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their sale as follows;—Wo offered a good catalogue of all clashes of produce to a large attendance of buyers. Competition was keen for all lots, and prices for wool and skins were fully up to late rates, whilst hides showed a rise of 3d. per lb. Wool: Ordinary crutchings, 52d.; rough crossbred, 73d.; dead wool, Bid.; black, 6£d. Levin and Company, Ltd., report: —We held our fortnightly sale yesterday, when we offered 3000 sheepskins, 500 hides and cattskius, and a quantity of tallow and horsehair. Bale wool is being kept for the first 6ale, on November 5. Wool: Only bag wool offering, which sold at last quotations. Skins: Market firm at late rates, with keen competition. Halfbreds and fine crossbreds, Bd. to 83d.; medium and coarse crossbreds, 7d. to Bd.; quarter to half-wools, 53d. to 7id.; dead skins, 4fcd. to 6d.; lamb skins, sid. to 7£d.; green skins, 6?. 5d.: rough 9s. 6d. Messrs. Murray, Roberts, and Co., Ltd.. report:—Wo offered £000 sheepskins' and 550 hides and calfskins yesterday. A very larco number of buyers attended tlio sale, which was characterised by great spirit, and prices last sale were maintained, taking into consideration the fact that freight rates are now above a farthing in excess of those ruling a fortnight ago.
