ANNUAL DINNER. ■ .The first annual dinner of the Welling* ton Rugby League was held at the Trocadero Hotel-last night. Mr. M. J. Reardon presided,.and there were about 70 present. In proposing tho toast, "Patrons and Friends, Mr,' Reardon said that ill commencing k the game 'in Wellington, tho Leaguo had been opposed by almost insurmountable difficulties. While it was easy enough to get limelight-scckers attached to a body which was on the height of its prosperity, it was only the true friends who came forward when help was most needed.'
