■ v SCHEME TO BLOCK IT IN GERMANY. By Telegraph—Press Assoctat-lon-CoturtKht (Rec. October 16, 0.20 a.m.) Berlin, October 15. The "North German Gazette'' ' states that a Bill is to be introduced to prevent the Standard Oil Corporation from securing a monopoly of the German petroleui# market. A German company will be formed nnd granted a monopoly of the sale of petroleum for lighting purposes and the Government will take four-fifths of tho profits abovo a fixed limit for social objects.
