"A conference of New South Wales and Victorian Ministers has agreed to tho Victorian proposal to extend two Victorian railways into New South Wales territory. The extensions will lie from Wontworth and Euston, nnd will run for nt least forty miles, tapping part of the Riverina contiguous to Victoria. The works will include the construction of two bridges over the Murray River, costing .£IOO.OOO each, of which amount Victoria will pay two-thirds and New South Wales one-third. The cost of the lines will be <1250,000. New South Wales will advance the money for construction, Victoria paying the interest on it. Tho conference also agreed to a joint scheme for utilising the Murray waters for irrigation purposesj
