COMMITTEE MATTERS. The monthly meeting of tho General Committco of the Masterlon A. and P. Association was held on Saturday, Mr. 11. Morrison presiding. , A letter was read from the Wellington Racing Club, stating that a sum of .£l2 ,10s. had been voted tho association for tho horso classes, on tho same terms as last year. A vote of thanks was passed to tho club for its generous gift. Mr. F. S. Popo, Secretary of tho Agricultural Department, wrote suggesting that the clover and grass seeds exhibited at tlie annual show should b» tested by nn officer of the Agricultural Department. The proposal was favourably commented upon by members of tho > committee, and was referred to tho Agricultural Committee.
Tho reports of the committees which had revised the schedulo were-considered in. detail and adopted with certain alterations.
It was decided that tho Agricultural Hall bo open to the public on both days of the show.
It was also dccided that tho class for cow-testing be eliminated, and that increased prize-money bo offered for dairy produce. Some discussion took place on the question whether stallions exhibited at tho show should have a certificate of soundness. It was eventually' decided, on a division, that a certificate of soundness be insisted upon. The reports of tho Ground and Finance Committees were read. The treasurer reported a debit balance at date of .£797 14s. 3d., as compared with ,£1236 15s. sd. last month. Twentv-one now members were elected, anasoven life members at ,£lO each.
