. — 4 — • RAIDS BT UOUNT COOK POLICE. ■ ■ At' one o'clock yesterday afternoon Sergeant Rutlodge, of the Mount Cook police,' in. company with Constable M'Kelvie, of Clyde Quay, visited in- Tui Street (off Tory Street) and seized a. quantity of liquor, i Three hours later the sajne officers visited certain Taranaw Street premises, and state that they founu ' a number of men there. A large quantity of liquor was (the police add) seized at this place, and an express had to bo' obtained to cart.it away. Prosecutions will follow as a. result oi the raids.'
