FEATHERSTON ITEMS.

At a meeting of the Featherston Town Board, held on Wednesday night, Mr. J. W. Card was elected chairman for tho ensuing two years, and Mr. M. B. Tait was elected treasurer. The Featherston Tennis and Croquet Club opened its season on Thursday, when

there was a large attendance of members. Afternoon tea was provided by a committee of Indies. A lecture on diseases of stock was delivered to a largo attendanco of farmers here on Friday by Mr. Young, of tho Government Veterinary Department. Mr. Allen Donald, chairman of the Fentherston branch of the Farmers' TTnion, presided.
