EMPRESS THEATRE.
During tho riext few days tho Adclphi Theatre will be closed'pending its reopening a? the Empress Theatre, under the direction of Mr. J. D. Williams (of the Greater J. D, Wiiljnms Amusement Company, Ltd.), next Friday evening at 8 o'clock. The Empress is tho first of tho new continuous picture pukcos to be established by Mr. Williams in tho principal cities of New Zealand. The project is being financed by New Zealand capital, and under the supervision of Mr. Williams, the enterprise will no doubt mark a distinctly new departure, in many respects, in motion picture entertainment. Tho success that has attended the Williams Company's operations in Australia, is, exemplified by the crowded assemblages at their six big picture palaces throughout the jear. Arrangements have been made to present to Wellington patrons the very best subjects of. every brancn of tho kinematographic art, which are procured by The Greater J. D. Williams Amusement Company in tho world's markets. The Empress Theatre is a new building, lofty, roomy, w>ll ventilated, and nlteralioos to suit the comfort and requirements of a eontinucus picture theatre will bo put in hand immediately. ■The theatre will bo managed and staffed on the most up-to-date lines. The musical and mechanical adjuncts will represent the best that money can procure. The entertainment will be continuous daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The management advertise that they will cater specially for ladies a.nd children, and that the theatre will offtr an wijoyablp. and restful afternoon or evening to young and old. -
