As leader of the Australasian icam, he tenders his sineerest apology for' Mr. Middleton's rude comments, and expresses much regret at Mr. Middleton's disloyalty to the object nearest to the hearts of the organisers of the team, namely, that the visit should reflect credit on Australia and New Zealand. He hope? the team will bo remembered by its actions, unmnrred by the utterance's of Mr. Middleton. who is not the proper person to speak for Australasia.
