PROSPECTS OF AN EXPORT TRADE. Cheese manufacturers will be interested in the following reference to Caerphilly cheese, which appears in the annual re 7 port of Jlr. \V. Wright, Inspector of New Zealand Dairy Produce, in London:— ''From information received I believe that the making of a certain quantity of this class of cheese by some of our smaller cheese factories would be found to be very profitable. To fit in with market requirements here, the season would necessarily be short.' Caerphilly cheese could bo made in New Zealand between the month of September to, say, the first week in January. Prices for Caerphilly cheese generally rule, on an average, 7s. Gd., per hundred-weight higher than the current prices offering for tho cheddar variety during the period mentioned." A WINNER OF COMPETITIONS. Tho Egg-laying competitions for 1910-11 and 1911-12 were both won by pens reared on 'A. and P." Chick Baiser. Tho first essential for proiltablo poultry keeping.
