JOHNSONVILLE TOWN BOARD.
A meeting of the Johnsonvillc Town Board was hold last evening. Those present were Commissioners Moore (chairman), -May, Lawrence, Jerusalem, Angcll, and Parker. The clerk informed the board that no reply had been received from Mr. Bell, M.P., regarding the extension of tho suburban railway service to the Lainbton Station. Mr. DfttirHng reported that the ranger was now in possession of the names of persons whose cattle had been found trespassing on .public and private, property, and it wns decided to take immediate action in future, and prosecute without further notice. The board decided to take the necessary steps to obtain, an advance of ten per cent, on the gas, water and drainage loans from • the State Advances Office. The resignation cf Mr, Fox as resident engineer to the board was accepted with an accompanying expression of the liith esteem in which he was held by the board. Commissioner Jerusalem reported on the Hutt Board inquiry. It was decided not to lake any private tallies. The matter was left in tlie hands of Commissioner Jerusalem, empowering hint to engage counsel if necessary. The chairman reported on the working of the pumping plant, stating that the new belt was giving full satisfaction, and water was now being pumped into the tipper reservoir. This enables the gas plant to be set in operation. At the conclusion of the nicotine Mr. Fox promised to light up the street lamps by .next Saturday evening.
