1 TO BE DEALT WITH NEXT TEAR. ■When tlio Public Trust Office Amendment Bill was being considered in Committee, by. tho House of Representatives last evening, the Hon. A. L. Henlinan stated (in reply to the lion. A. T. Xpata) that the Government did not intend to do anything this year towards giving effect to the,"report of tho Commission which reported upon tho AVest Coast Settlement Reserve leases. Four of the lenses fell in during the present year, but the great" number fell in during tho year following. A clauso would probably bo included in tho Watdiing-up Bill to extend the term of the four leases falling in this vcar for another year. Legislation would probably be introduced next session to deal with tho wholo question of these leases, but tho matter had not yet been considered by Cnbinot.
