On Sunday evening at 'five o'clock the Strangers , ' Tea Committee, the i'.M.C.A. held its eighth anniversary tea, pver' SO, persons being'.present./. . This .tea is held every Sunday at five o'clock for tho'.purpose of extending a welcome ,to any young man who may be a. stranger. to the city. Many a young.man has been led to .good' companions through this strangers' tea. It. is a committee of the "young men. who do the catering Themselves and who each Sunday devote a .great'deal of time for the benefit of other fellow?. From October 1, 1905, to September' 29,-.1912, no fewer than 22,106 men have attended, thesa..teas, '3686-of. that number being atrangers. Pitevious to fbe tea. the'Piev. Hugh Beggs addressed the Mens' Afternoon Class..on "A' Life of Sen-ice.' , in which ha clearly brought out that the happiest life a man can live, is a life in ivhich he renders service to his felUnvmen. ,
