At the Churclv Congress, the Bishop of Oxford (Dr. Gore) counselled Churchmen to support trade unions, and to encourage agricultural labourers to obtain improved conditions. The Archbishop of York (Dr. Lang) attributed much of tho industrial unrest to the idlo rich, whose selfishness and luxury wero more responsible for bitterness and discontent than were the agitators at whom they sneered.
