Wedding at Petone. A wedding took place at the Baptist Church, Pctone, on Wednesday afternoon, when Miss Rose Slrimd, second daughter of Mr. nnd Mrs. B. Strand, of ■Lower Hiitt, was married to Mr. George \\ arren Edmendes, eldest son of Jlr. and Mrs; R, Kdiiieadea, of Bay Street, l'etone. Ihe Rev. Mr. Wainwright ofiiciated, and the service was choral, both the bride and the bridegroom being members of the choir. Miss Hogg- presided at the organ. The bride was given away by her father, and wore creine silk striped voile , trimmed with laco and insertion, with veil and orange-blossoms. She carried a pretty bouquet of cream roses. The bridesmaids were Miss B. Edmeades and Miss Annie Edmeades (sisters of the bridegroom), who wore white muslin dresses trimmed with lace, and white hais with pink flowers. They carried bouquets tied witlr pink streamers. Mr. B. Hardy was best man and Mr. A. Webster was "groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held Jit the residence of. the bride's parents, lower Halt, nnd (he usual -toasls honoured. Among the presents received was a cabinet of cutlery, presented to the bride and bridegroom by the members of the Baptist Church and Sunday School, and a set of carvers nnd oak biscuit barrel, presented to thu" bridegroom by the members of Baptist Young Men's Bible Class.
