There were twenty-five competitors. i A rather sad death from. misadventure occurred here on Wednesday evening. Tho two-year-old son of' Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Francis, of Worksop Road, got possession of.a bottlo of belladonna liniment that had been used for mumps, and consumed a porton of the contents. Ho became ill, and medical assistance was called in. Emetics were applied, and tho child made a temporary recovery, but it took a relapse, and passed away at eleven • o'clock last night. At tho inquest k-day a verdict of death from misadventure was returned. The Red Star Football Club held their, ■nnnnal social to-night. Tho function proved a great success.
