SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications are for strong westerly winds generally, the barometer falling everywhere. Rain is probable on the West Coast and southernmost .■•■' parts of the South Island, and fair ; to cloudy and somewhat squally and changeable weather elsewhere. The winds ' have backed from the southwest to westerly, and northerly in , 'moet parts of the country, the barometer rising during "the night but falling everywhere to-day.
