Campbell, M.P., contracted a severe attaok of influenza a fortnight ago which developed into a mild form of typhoid. Yesterday his condition-was vpry low. At a largely-attended meeting of tho local branch of tho Post and Telegraph 'Officers' Association, held to-night, the Civil Service Bill ,-iv.is fully discussed, and the following resolution carried unani-mously:-"That this branch ,of tho Post and Telegraph Officers' Association .'place on'record its dissent from the opinion expressed ia the telegram read.in the House of Representatives by the Premier from an officer of the, Service that the Public Service Bill was acceptable to oiheers generally. Such statement was contrary to fact, and the said officer misrepresented the feeling of the 'Service generally, he probably not being in a position to truly gauge the feeling- of officers, on the matter." ... .
