SUMMARY AND FORECAST. rroscnt indications aro tor strong westerly winds, with a southerly tendency for a short time, but a temporary rise in barometric pressure will probably precede a further fail in the south, when the winds are likely to back again and freshen considerably. Cool and changeable weather probable generally. Showery and squally in parts, especially in the West Coast and southernmost districts. A westerly squall area parsed in the south on Jtonday night, with 6troug northerly and westerly winds. The barometer has .been very unsteady.
