Teams of eight were choien from either party, and four doubles matches were played. The Press and the Hansard men won, as tho following results will show (the PWss. teams are mentioned first in each case):— '■ Goro and' Gillon beat Fisher and 8011, i G —s, G—o.- , Eai'lo and Heiglnvay beat Poinaro and. Seddon, 6-1, G—3. Ross and Hickey lost to Malcolm and Wilson, t—G. 6—5, 'I—G. . 'White and Thompson beat-Paul and W. H. Russell, G—s, 6—3. Of tho four matches played the Press and Hansard men won three, and they, therefore, retired from tliß joust winners. Mr. W. H. Russell, of Hansard staff, played in the Parliament team. Tho ! matches wore played at "Kenilworth, and the players and many of their friends were the; guests of Mr. and Mrs. \\ alter Leslie toi.luncheon and afternoon tea.
