The Fire Brigade received a call to Xo. 100 Tory Street, a two-storied shed, which was found to be in flames. The shod was unoccupied, and is owned by Mr. Martin Kennedy. Very little damage was done. Tho parish of St. Mark intend holding their annual sale of work on Wednesday and Thursday, October 2 and 11, ill St. Mark's Schoolroom. The sale will be opened by her Excellency Lady Islington at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Messrs. Dalgetv and Co. will hold a stock sale on Mr. Twomev's farm, Gear Island, Lower Hutt, on Wednesday, October 2.
