SUMMARY AND FORECAST. ■ ____ i Present indications arc for strong south: easterly winds, veering by east to northerly northward of New Plymouth and Napier, ,and increasing northerly and westerly l winds elsewhere. The barome- • tor will probably rise slowly for a short time in the north and fall in the 60Uth. Fair to cloudy weather probable generally, and unsettled conditions, especially • on the West Coast and southern districts, southward of Kawhia and Castlepoint. The barometer has risen, everywhere, with southerly winds, 6trong to gale, and rain in most parts of the country.
