o ACCIDENT AT PORT PIRIE. Br Telenraph—Press Association—Oopyrierht Adelaide, September 28. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Whakatane, 5751 tons gross, grounded in the channel at Port Pirio when attempting to avoid a collision with a collier. Attempts to tow her off have proved futile.
