Y.M.C.A. WORK.

Last week-end a team of boys, mostly of the fourth class, journcd to Christchurch, where they played a match against the Celtic "Soccer" Football Cluo (junior grade), at tho Addington Show Grounds. The match was played as a curtain-raiser to tho final game between Y.M.C.A. senior team and the Nomads, for the senior cup. The final score was: Y.M.C.A. boys, 4; Celtic Club, 2. The Celtic tram entertained the visitors at lunch and tea the samo day. ' On Monday the boys journeyed to liurnham by this ten minutes past eight train, where they were met by Mr. Archey, who gave them a very hearty welcome on behalf of the Industrial School. Morning tea was provided, and about an hour afterwards tho boys lined up to test their football strength. The first half of the game was a real good exhibition' ot football,, both teams doing excellent work. The second half proved fatal to the visitors, as no less than four goals were scored against them, whilst they were unable to place tho ball in the net. AVhcn_ the match was ever, tho boys indulged in a swim and immediately after lunch was provided, to which the\' did justice. Several of the school stair showed the boys over their institution and round the farm, all of which was exceptionally interesting.
