INSURANCE ACT CHAOS.
FRIENDLY SOCIETY COMPLAINTS. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright London, September 2G. Mr. Walter Davis, in his presidential address at the Friendly Societies' Conference at Newcastlo-on-Tyne, complained that a state, of chaos existed in connection with the national insurance scheme. It had now been officially admitted that, the Commissioners had no knowledge of the financial provisions for medical benefit, and the warfare regarding fees had been transferred to every local insurance committee in tho kingdom. Other speakers demanded the fulfilment of Mr. Lloyd George's promises. One hundred and seventy doctors in Mid-Staffordshire have resigned Friendly Society appointments.
