SURPLUS OF .£275,150. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright Adelaide, September 27. In the Legislative' Assembly yesterday the 'Treasurer (Mr. Peakc) delivered his Budget Statement. The year ended with a surplus of ,£275,150, making tho surpluses for the last ten years ,£2,172,200, which had been utilised in reducing tho public debt. Tho population during the year had increased by over 13,000. Tho agricultural and pastoral interests ore flourishing. The estimated, revenue for the current year is £1,381,812; and the estimated surplus i£88,000: Very large sums will be required during the next few years for public Works, and it will no doubt be necessary to go. to tho London market..
