WELLINGTON CANARY CLUB.

Tho annual meeting of tho Wellington Canary and Cage Bird Club was held on Wednesday evening at Hall's Rooms, Cuba Street. Mr. Murphy was in the chair, and twenty members were present. According to tho annual balanco-shtet, which was adopted, the credit balance at the bank amounted to Jill Bs. During tho evening tho president : presented the club's secretary with a gold medal on behalf of tho club in recognition of his valuable service to the club. The secretary suitably replied. The club's treasurer was also the recipient of a silver tea service, subscribed to by all members of the club, to celebrate tho occasion of his marriage. Medals were presented to Messrs. Gallishan and Ford, which were won by them at last show. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. Murphy (re-elected); vice-presidents, Mrs. T. G. Macarthv, Mrs. John Martin, Messrs. O'Sullivan, Goer, Gallishan, Lepper, A. Petterson, Greenside, and Major Tatum; secretary, Mr. Rider; treasurer, Mr. O'Sullivan (re-elected); trustee,' Mr. Gallishan.
