On Tuesday evening the newly-ist.iblish-ed branch of the Y.'M.C.A. gave a gymnastic aijd athletic entertainment in f bc Princes? Theatre. Merrett, of Christchurch, addressed a meeting of about 40 persons interested in the poultry industry. . In. his. address Mr. Merrett stated that the Government's Agricultural Department did not. g've nearly the attention to the poultry industry which its importance demands.
