A deputation of dairy -farmers, representing the Wellington District Daily Farmers' Co-operativo Association, waited on tho Minister for Railways, asking that better facilities -should be accorded tho carriage of milk. The Minister promised to £ivo the matter his attention.. lho result of the recent Paraparnumu horticultural show is deemed satisfactory,' the receipts totalling nearly ,£3O. At the society s meeting reference was made to tho etate of affairs, and thanks were tendered to all who had assisted. The society has also passed a vote of condolence to tho widow of, the late Mr. G. S. Smith, who .was an onthusiastic member of the society. As tho result tf a jollification at race time, two men—Ang is M'Lean and Arthur Gmison—were fined ,£1 each and cab expenses at the local Polico Court this week Both were strangcis to the district. Mr. Charles Kilsby. has disposed of one of his farms, situated at Te Horo, to Mr. H. Munro, who intends to go in for dairying.
