— WELLINGTON CRUISING CLUB, f The second annual meeting of tho Wel--3 lington Cruising Yacht Club was held this week, Mr.' F.'W. Petherick presiding. The annual report and statement of ac : counts were adopted. A balance of .£8 2s. 7d. was carried forward as a credit to tho coming season's operations. Aggrct gato points races will bo held on November 30, December 14, and January 25 next, • and a ladies' race and a novelty raco on i dates to be fixed. Prizes won during tho past season were presented. - , . , . Mr. A. Petherick was elected chairman, . Mr. B. L.' Donno auditor, Mr. Arthur s Petherick secretary and treasurer, and Mr. N. M'Brido starter, judge, and timekeeper. '' ' ■ ' A presentation was made to Mr. | M'Bride in appreciation of his services during the year. _ ' The resignation of the representatives . of the Ngaira was accepted with regret, : the Ngaira having been sold for conversion into a launch. /Tho chairman and tho secretary were appointed to meet delegatos of the Port . Nicholson Yacht Club to discuss tho possibility of holding som© event during the j coming season so as to bring the two clubs together. . A letter from the Australasian Sailing Regatta Committee was received asking if any of tho club's boats would be com-; peting in the Australasian regatta at ■ Sydnev on January 25, 1913. It was de- ■ cided that distance would prevent entries ■ by club boats, and a reply to that effect is to l>o sent. At the conclusion of tho meeting tho ? members were entertained at a supper [ given by tho secretary.
