THE OLD BOYS' CLUB. Tho following is a precis of the first annual report of the Wellington College Old Boys' Shimming C'ltib, to be presented at the annual meeting of tho club, to lie held at; Bethune.'s Buildings, Latnbton Quay, to-night. The, first year of Iho club's existence was succes-ful in every way. Tho weather conditions during' the season were not such as would encourage swimming to any great extent, but successful week-night races woro held, i'lie I carnival, which tool; place on February 10, must l>o regarded as one of tho finest club carnivals ever held in Wellington. The fnc.t that Mr. Tod Solomons—ono of Sydney's best swimmers—was taking part was no doubt mainly responsible for this. The membership at the close of tho season was 132—123 senior and 9 junior members. There are indications that the number ; would be increased this year. Tho various , gentlemen who havo helped the club financially and otherwise are heartily ■ thanked for their services. As far as j finance is concerned, the results have almost exceeded expectations. The present credit balance in the bank is .£23,33., and thero are outstanding subscriptions and . entrance fees amounting to £2 7s. Gd. ■ i
