Present indications are for strong northerly and westerly winds, squally at times. Cloudy and unsettled weather probable generally with showery conditions. The baromctei' is likely to fall quickly in the south for n. short time for the paEsage of a small storm area. • The passage of a westerly low pressure on Saturday night ana Sunday morning was followed by milder conditions on Monday except in the northern districte, where high westerly winds and squally weather lave been experienced. q Meteorological Office. ■Wellington, September 24, 1912.
