Some sarcastic comments have been made by Mr. Hughes, the Commonwealth Attorney-General, on the judgment of the High Court in the Coal Vend appeal ct>so. "It. is,"'he said, "perfectly clear that anti-trust legislation is of .no service against a combination with capital. The judgment shows how very much we were in. error. There are no, trusts in Australia, no combinations in restraint of trade, and nothing has been done to the detriment of the public. It is almost worth all iho troublo and expense lo have i this great fact clearly demonstrated.
