Argentine, to Liverpool, collided with the railway steamer Slievebloom near Ilolyhead. On the run down from the 1 Canary Islands, moderate winds and seas were the rule. Leaving Cape Town on August 26, the liner arrived at- Ilohart on Sept-ember 15. When crossing .the Southern Ocean strong westerly gales were met with, and snow and hail in 47deg. Bouth. Tlia Tasmaiiian port was left behind on .September 16. and when crossing Llin Tasinah Sea tho -Corinthic experienced the roughest portion of her long journey. Strong noi'tb-west gales, with hieh seas, were much in evidence, and on Tuesday, September 17. the liner made very slow progress against the elements.
