EASTBOURNE RIFLE CLUB.
A meeting of the Eastbourne Eiflo Club was held last evening, President Hobbs in the chair, when it was decided to arrange a progressive programme for tho coming season. Gollan's Valley Rnngo will be abandoned on account of its cost of upkeen and distance. The Mackenzie Range at Ifoiia Bay will bo used for principal practices and competitions. For long distance practice'and teams' matches on occasional trip will bo rna-le w.Trentham. Tho committee had seriously considered the question of going into recess or oisbanding, but in view of the recent good understanding which was arrived at between General Godlev and tho rifle clubs, also the increased facilities granted by the Government, it was decided to continue. The opinion was expressed that tiio young territorials will soon wish to try' their skill as marksmen, and tho Rifle Clubs' office will be to assist them when required.
