Tlio Finance t Coinniitteo of tho City Council recommended to the council last night: that tho City Engineer's proposal for tho erection of a tea kiosk at Aewtown Park .should be agreed to, the,workto be proceeded with at. once, and the cost charged to tho district fund. Councillors Shirtclilfc and Godber opposed the proposal on the ground that there were more necessary works to bo done in the city. Councillor Puller said that besides being a public convenience, the kiosk would induce people to patronise the trams which ran to tho park, ' After some, further discussion the proposal was agreed to.
