ANNUAL REPORT. The repoit of the' French Literary Chi} l of Wellington, presented at tie annual general niootiiicr held on Tuesday evening, stated that the. committee hail pleasure in notinK that the fourth session of tho club's existence, had teen marked by a series of lectures of a hifsh order. Week bv week- the meetings had been highly interesting, thanks to the enre niid energy of the secretary (Mr. Hudson) to whose capable efforts the , successful character of tho programme was entirely due. The. names on the roll numbered 81. with an average attendance of 32. a slight, advance upon previous yenrs. After detailing tho various events of Die year Hie report stated that the Alliance Francaise- do Pari« hud forwarded two exquisite silver medals to lx> awarded to Messrs. Duflou and Hudson for their, service:, to the club. The presentation would be made at a. special mooting of the club to be held iu the Svdnev Street School-room at a. date to be'fixed, when the Consul of-France, M. RiToreau. would undertake the iourney from Auckland and be present to make Hie presentation. A resolution placing on record the sc r . vices .rendered to the club as secretary by E. E.
