As on a previous occasion, the science, conversazione whicli was arranged at Victoria College last uiviiing was attended by it large iiuniber of students and the iiilero-ili'il m-embers of (he general public. iFonv short lectures were given: on thn growth of plnnts; on respiration; tho cnlture of fungi and ferns; and on tho dispersal of siwes and seeds. were also carried out in 11.0 various laboratories, these including the difseelion of u fro« and a crayfish. Geological specimens were viewed under the iuicrospiipe, and in the chemical laboratory experiments regarding formaline and the production of rubber by chemical means were ((ievii. Tho experiments and lectures were conducted by Pinl'essors Easteifield, Kirk, f,aliv, and Mr. Cotton, who were a»«NrM| by student*.
