In reply to thoso opponents of tho Maternity Bonus Bill (granting £i for every child born in Australia), who question the constitutionality of the measure, tho Attorney-General, Mr. W. M; Hughes, says ho knows of no law and no power to say to the Commonwealth: "You must not spend your money in this direction."
