FOR MEN.

REV. J. E. WATTS-DITCHFIELD'S ADDRESS. On 1 Sunday afternoon next, at the Town Hall, the men of Wellington will have an opportunity of hearing a man. v who comes with the reputation of being one of the most successful workers amongst men in the/Anglican Church to-day. The stato of affairs in. his , parish of St. JaniPs-the-Less, Bethnall Greeiii London, shows that the Church has not lost tho power of appealing to the working man.' During the'brief space of eleven years that ho has been in charge of the parish, the communicant's roll lias grown from ten to almost 1100, whilst the men's services, held every Sunday afternoon, are regularly .attended by at least 500, and this is ono of tho very poorest parts of London. Mr. Watls-Ditolificld has appealed to the men of Australia nnd New Zealand no less than to those- of London, and tho theatre at Christchurch wns scarcely large enough to hold tho audience which he addressed last Sunday afternoon. Sunday's meeting will be the only public one by Mr. Watts-Ditchfiold -in Wellington, as ho is only making a very short stay in New Zealand.

It is interesting to know that it Mr. Watts-Ditclifield who prepared (he display of sweated swds which attracted mucli attention at the. Chrietchuroh Exhibition some years ago. • The Anglican Archbishop of Sydney (Dr. Wrightl, writing in his "Diocesan Mngazine" in reference to the visit of Mr.-Watts-Ditchficld, says:-"Lct each churchman lay to heart that this is a call to him, whether ho belongs to tho C.E.JI.S. or not. Under all circumstances this elunild 1)0 a day of self-searching, so thnt each churchman should decide for himself whether he is honestly what tho Church requires in "her members. We have no right to bo only ornamental."
