ASHBURTON RACE 3. SECOND DAY. IBy Teleerai>h.-Pr«ss Association.) Ashburton, September 13. The Asbburtou County Racing Club's spring meeting was concluded to-day in line sunny weuthor. Tlio attendance was oven better than usual. Fields were again large, and the racing was very interesting, there being several close finishes. The totalisalor investments for tlio day amounted to ;E71!27, as against .£54:2 on'the corresponding day Instyeur, while for the two days of tho meeting they aggregated .£14,577, as compared with Xll.OOl in September, 1911.. Results;— SECOND HUItIJLES HANDICAP. One mile and u half.—Uanguay, 1; Rod, Whito and Blue, 2; Jack Asliore, 3. Scratched: ■ St. Kovm. Gangway led from the start, and won pulling up 'by ten lengths, an equal distance separating second and third. Tiuio, 2min. 50 l-ssec. FAIRFIELD HANDICAP. Six furlongs. —Caiaid Delias, 1; Foam Flake, 2; Cnrolus, 3. All started. About a hundred yards from home, Caraid Delias ran into first place, a position which was keenly contested by Foam Flake, who just lost it by a neck. Carol as was two lengths away. Time, lmin. 17 2-ssec. COLDSTEEAM WELTER. Six furlongs.—Armstrong, 1; Bon Soil, 2; Editah, 3. Scratched: Kilts, Orton, and Foam Flake. Though strongly challenged, the. winner led throughout and won by a neck from Bon Soir, who beat Editah by a length. Time, lmin. 17 2-sscc. TINWALD HANDICAP. One mile.— Coroniform, 1; My Lawyer, 2; Bellah, 3. Scratched: Medallist and Gnome. Coroniform, who was practically in front all tho way,, won by half a length, Bellah being thrice that distance behind the second horse. Time, lmin. 43sec. WINCHMORE TROT. One' mile and a quarter.—Harold Rothschild, ,1; Nance O'Neill, 2; Jessie Hnmlin, 3. All started. Won all the way. Time, 3min. 43 l-ssec. ' MAIDEN HACK SCURRY. Four furlongs—Teviotdale, 1; Peg, 2; Gold Wave, 3. Scratched: Fonder, Caraid Delias, Ohapi, and Andr'eae. Won. by a neck. Gold Wavo was two lengths away. Time, 50sec. FAREWELL HANDICAP. Five furlongs.— Query. 1; My Lawyer, 2; Stepmeter, 3. Crosbie was scratched. Won by a length. Time, linin. 1 l-ssec.
