written for The Domsios.l FPJDAY. . . Sheep's Head Broth. C\irri<d Schnapper. Mashed Potatoes. Plain I'lum Pudding. Sweet Melted Butter. PLAIN PLUM PUDDING. Half pound flour, 3oz. finely chopped suet, Jib. brown sugar, \\h. raisins or currants, 1 small teaspoouful of baking' powder, 1 egg. A little candied peel, h teaspbonful of salt, a good i cup of milk. Mix all the ingredients well together, put into a buttered basin, tie down tightly and boil for 3 hours. Turn out and servo with sweet melted butter sauce. SWEET MELTED BUTTER SAUCE. Half pint milk, loz. butter, Joz. flour, a pincH of salt, sugar to sweeten, essence of vanilla to flavour. Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the flour and stir until smooth, add the milk and stir until it boils.. Boil 3 minutes. Add sugar and vanilla essence. and serve. FOR TO-MOKROW. Two Pounds Artichokes. Stock. Two Rabbits. Bncou. Pastry. Turnips. Suet. FOR SUNDAY. Stock. Six or Seven Pounds Fillet of Veal. Forcemeat. Bacon for Boiling. Cauliflower. Sago. Raisins. ' FOR SUPPER. Lobster. Mayonnaise Sauce. Salad. Prunes., Gelatine. Pastry.
