LAWN TENNIS.
The nineteenth annual general meeting of tho Petone Tennis Club was held at Petone last night. There was an. excellent attendance. Mr. E. C. Kirk occupied tho chair. Tho report and balance-sheet, winch wcro adopted, showed a vwy successful past season. Officers wero elected as under:—President, Mr. R. C. Kirk; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. Home, W. Foster, AV. G. Lodder, B. C. Wafnes/ Dr. Ross, and H. Rusbton; secretary, Mr. Parkinson; treasurer, Mr. Hope; auditor, Mr. Baxter; committee, Messrs. Austin, Duncan, Andrews, Kirk, and Kcan; ladies' committee, Mesdames Bennett,' Cochrane, Brooks, Morris, and Carter; selection committee, Messrs. Andrews, Parkinson, and Austin; delegato to association, Mr. C. Andrews. Ten new members wero elected. Tho opening is fixed for Saturday, October 5.
