' MANAWATU TOURNAMENT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Palmerston N., September 11. There was good weather for the continuation, of tho Manawatu Golf Championship meeting. Two rounds of the championship were. | played. Kurepo Tnrcha defeated Cobbeek, •I np and It to play; D. G. Moore defeated J. Goss, 2 up J A. Darraud defeated 1\ Gordon, -1 up and 3 to play; 0. H. Druce defeated T. D. Harman, 2 up and 1 to play; lmlay Saunders defeated J. B. Lusk. 3 up and 2 to play. H. B. Lusk put W. Seifert down and Kapi Tnrcha bent T. Crosse easily, while. A. Keifert beat L. Seifert, 3 up and 2 to play. In. the afternoon 11. B. Lusk beat Saunders, 1 up; Barrnud beat Kuropo, 1 up; Druce beat Moore, and Kapi beat A. 'Seifert easily. . Barraud ■meets Druce, and Kapi meets Saunders in the semi-final. H. Crosso (hep. G, 3 up) won tho 18holo bogey event, ,T. K. M'Lennan (hep. 11, 2 up) being second. In the stroke handicap the leaders were: Strang, 82—1—78; E. J. P. Abraham, 88— g 79_ i Other scores were:—W. T. Harman, 83 -3-80; E. S. Pearee, 87-7-80; R. Stowc, 8-1-14-80.
