The Government has agreed to permit the transference of Mexican troops through .United States territory in order to enable them to attack tho rebels in Sonora State. The decision is likely to inflame tho rebels further against Americans residing in the disturbed areas. The State Department announces that in consequence of the defeat of the rebel leader, General Halazer, it is expected that the rebels will be driven southwards from the border, and that consequently there will bo fewer clashes with the United States troops engaged to maintain neutrality.
